At the same time, Mr. Oba, who is in charge of izutuki, also guided us.
Greetings from Mr. Kiya
This is an exhibition by Mayumi Watanabe, a writer living in Venice, Italy.
You are making a work that combines the technique of chine Collee and the technique of painting.
The work is one thing.
When purchasing, it will be handed over after the exhibition.
※ Shinkore ... [direct translation] A technique of pasting paper and sticking thin paper to the mount in the printing process.
Chine is a good quality paper that came from China, turned from China.
Colleae is a collage, that is, "glue".
High-quality thin paper called Shin is said to be paper used in the Bible.
About Mayumi Watanabe's style
Mr. Watanabe paints marble and uneven objects, copies them on thin paper, and paste them together.
Each one of them is a picture.
Since the print itself does not exist, it is Watanabe's work, which is not included in the frame of prints.
Mayumi Watanabe Greetings
For me, color plays the role of words.
And colors are naturally in life, and they tell me a lot.
I have been expressing warm things that I felt strongly in my heart through color, refreshing things, everyday walking, aspirations and excitement, casual and loving things that I can't express in words with colors and lines I have been.
Something that reaches your heart through the medium of color.
If you have that, you will not be able to do so.
