It is a stone monument located near Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge.
Before the Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge was built, there was a ferryboat in this area, which was used as a means of transportation connecting both banks from the Edo period to the Showa era.
The ferryboat on Tsukuda Island has a history of being used for more than 300 years, and it was a ferryboat that remained until the end in the Sumida River basin, but was abolished with the completion of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge in 1964. .
