Scenery from Sumida River Terrace <Tsukuda Park-Along Ishikawajima Park>
This time, we will enjoy the scenery from Tsukuda Park to Sumida River Terrace along Ishikawajima Park.
When you get off the ruins of Ishikawajima Lighthouse and head to the terrace, you can see Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, about 220m long, up close to the left side.
In 1964 (1964), instead of Tsukuda's ferryboat, which lasted more than 300 years since the Edo period, it was replaced by Tsukuda's ferry.
It's a bridge.
As you walk upstream along the terrace along Tsukuda Park, you will see "Chuo-ohashi Bridge" in front.
This bridge was completed in 1993 (1993) following the redevelopment of Tsukuda Island, and is a bridge with the image of a helmet.
If you walk further under Chuo-ohashi Bridge, you will reach Ishikawajima Park and reach the tip of the island.
The front is the junction between the main stream of the Sumida River and the Harumi Canal, and you can see the heavy arch of "Eitai Bridge".
It's a terrace along Ishikawajima Park.
Above the terrace is the high-rise towers of River City 21, the greenery of the park and a pleasant promenade along the river.
Going south along the terrace along the Harumi Canal, "Aioi Bridge" lies in front.
This is a truss girder bridge completed in 1998 (1998), and is a 149m bridge connecting Tsukuda, Chuo-ku and Echinakajima, Koto-ku.
