The GSIX small boat floats on the summer outfit "Six Ships"
I'm always impressed by the decoration of the atrium of Ginza Six.
It is a sight seen from the 1st floor store, SIXIEME. A bright red storefront, a car, and a white line appear to hoor the ship, and it doesn't seem to make you mistake it somewhere far away or in a dream.
This work is CHIHARU SHIOTA's "Six Ships".
According to the leaflet I received,
"In this work, six ships, up to 5 meters long, decorate the central atrium space under the theme of "Six Ships". Until now, ships have often been used as motifs in Shioda's work. Ships are moving forward in one direction, not only with people and objects, but also with time, “What is being? It resonates with Mr. Shioda's question, who has been searching for what it means to be alive and where are we going?" In the new art, in Ginza, which is packed with modern Japanese history, six ships depart from the "sea of memories" of Ginza, which has overcome various difficulties and has continued to develop each time, expressing the appearance of moving forward. The six ships are arranged at different heights and orientations, so you will be able to enjoy an imaginary journey of visiting another dimension while looking at the hidden ships from each floor.”

If you look at it from a different angle and from above, it looks like a scene where lovers are going out to play boat.
If you listen, you will hear Bossa Nova’s famous song “Barquinho.”
