The knowledge of Yaesu
I'm an electrician, but last week I went to Yaesu for construction work.
When I was young, I was surprised that the memorable place where I spent four years at a vocational school 20 years ago had changed quite a bit.
I went to Orikaku Yaesu, so I went out during lunch break and took pictures.
I think many people who are watching this blog are quite familiar with Chuo-ku, so it may be preaching to Buddha.
I would like to introduce some of the trivia of Yaesu, which I learned during my college days in Yaesu.
[Part 1] The Jan Jooss Ten Monument is not in Yaesu
I think there are many people who know this quite a bit.
It comes from the name of a Dutch navigator named Jan Joossten.
Jan Jooss Ten was a person who drifted to Japan in Keicho 5 (1600) and later served Ieyasu Tokugawa.
His Japanese name is called "Yayosu", and it is said that it was the origin of Yaesu.
In 1988, a monument called the Jan Jooss Ten Monument was made and remains until the present day. 。 。
So, in fact, the Jan Jooss Ten Monument is not in Yaesu.
←The Jan Jooss Ten Monument is located in the area where the "bell of peace (to commemorate the declaration of peace city)" in Chuo-ku is located.
Actually, this is Kyobashi.
Honorary Ichinoichi in Kyobashi 1-1 Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo (?) It is installed in a certain place.
[Part 2] Yaesu 1-chome and 2-chome are quite different because they are the same.
First, let's take a look at the land called Yaesu.
←It will be an area.
I think that the general public understands the east side of Yaesu = Tokyo Station.
That's right
It was my memory 20 years ago that the town where Showa remained, with the remarkable development of the Marunouchi area.
Over the past 10 years, redevelopment has progressed greatly, and its appearance has changed dramatically.
This Yaesu is located on the west side of Yaesu Street, and the east side of Yaesu 2-chome is Yaesu 1-chome. This Yaesu 1-chome and Yaesu 2-chome are unexpectedly different.
The image looks like the photo of ↓ (a photo of Tokyo Station from Yaesu Street)
What's wrong? To put it quite rough
Yaesu 1-chome is the former Nihonbashi-ku area Yaesu 2-chome is the former Kyobashi-ku area.
It means that you belonged to me. It has been integrated into both Chuo-ku.
And to this day, the difference remains in many places.
①The postal code is different
1-chome is under the jurisdiction of Nihonbashi Post Office, 2-chome is under the jurisdiction of Harumi Post Office.
②Tax offices are also different
1-chome is under the jurisdiction of Nihonbashi Tax Office, and 2-chome is under the jurisdiction of Kyobashi Tax Office.
I'm also a former tax accountant, but it was quite famous in the industry.
③The residents' association is also different
Yaesu 1-chome is the Nihonbashi Rokube Union Town Association
Yaesu 2-chome is Kyobashi Ichinobe Town Association Association

This means that the Sanno Festival, which was held the other day, was also held.
On the page of Chuo-ku Tourism Association, there is a map of Shitamachi Union imperial procession, but the area of mikoshi is well divided.
