Knowledge of Yaesu
I'm an electrician, but last week I went to Yaesu for construction work.
When I was young, I was surprised that the place where I remembered spending four years at a vocational school 20 years ago had changed quite a bit.
I went to Orikaku Yaesu, so I went out during lunch break and took pictures.
I think that there are many people who are watching this blog quite familiar with Chuo-ku, so it may be a preaching to Buddha
I would like to introduce a little about the trivia of Yaesu, which I learned during the school days of Yaesu.
[Part 1] Jan Jooss Ten Memorial is not in Yaesu
I think a lot of people know this.
It is derived from the name of a Dutch navigator named Jan Jooss Ten.
Jan Jooss Ten drifted to Japan in 1600, and then served Ieyasu Tokugawa.
His Japanese name is "Yayosu", which is said to have originated from Yaesu.
In 1988, the Jan Jooss Ten Monument was built and remains to this day. 。 。
So, in fact, there is no Yang Jooss Ten Memorial in Yaesu.
←The Yan Jooss Ten Monument is set up in the area where the Peace Bell (Peace City Declaration Memorial) is located in Chuo-ku.
Actually, this is Kyobashi.
Honor of Ichinoichi in Kyobashi 1-1 Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo (?) It is installed in a place.
[Part 2] Yaesu 1-chome and 2-chome are the same and quite different.
First, let's look at the land called Yaesu.
←It's an area.
I think that the general public understands that Yaesu = the east side of Tokyo Station.
Exactly that way
It was my memory 20 years ago that the city where Showa remains, alongside the remarkable development of the Marunouchi area.
Over the past 10 years, redevelopment has progressed greatly, and its appearance has changed drastically.
This Yaesu is Yaesu 1-chome on the west side across the street called Yaesu 2-chome on the east side. This Yaesu 1-chome and Yaesu 2-chome are surprisingly different.
As an image, it looks like the photo in ↓ (a photo of seeing Tokyo Station from Yaesu Street)
Tell me what's different. To say quite rough
Yaesu 1-chome is the former Nihonbashi Ward area Yaesu 2-chome is the former Kyobashi Ward area
That means you belonged to me. It was integrated into both Chuo-ku.
And to this day, the difference remains in many places.
①The postal code is different.
1-chome is under the jurisdiction of Nihonbashi Post Office, and 2-chome is under the jurisdiction of Harumi Post Office.
②Tax offices are different.
1-chome is under the jurisdiction of the Nihonbashi Tax Office, and 2-chome is under the jurisdiction of the Kyobashi Tax Office.
I'm a former tax accountant, but it was quite famous in the industry.
③Residents' associations are different.
Yaesu 1-chome is Nihonbashi Rokube Association Association
Yaesu 2-chome is Kyobashi Ichinobe Neighborhood Association

The Sanno Festival, which was held the other day, was also held.
There is a map of downtown imperial procession on the page of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, but the area of the mikoshi is also well divided.
