A large collection of delicious food and local specialties!
What would you like to enjoy in the city? This year will be held on weekends (October 19-20, 2024)
The annual event "Bedara City", where the streets around Takarada Ebisu Shrine and Sugimori Shrine are filled with stalls, will be held again from October 19 to 20 this year.
The sight of Betta pickled stalls lined up in a row is a masterpiece!
But that's not the only fun.
traditional event, Ebisu-ko Bettara, which has been around since the Edo period, is packed with a variety of attractions.
What would you like to enjoy in the city? There are plenty of things I want to do (^^)♪
Shrine
At Takarada Ebisu Shrine, Ebisu-sama, which you can't usually see, will be opened to the public.
This statue of Ebisu was given by the Tokugawa family by Kannobu Magome, which is said to have been created by the master of the Kamakura period, Unkei.
It's a valuable opportunity, so I'd like to visit you.
Stall
Betta pickles (lightly pickled radish), which is the origin of the name of Bettara City, cannot be removed.
Earlier, the shop told me, "I recommend cutting and eating with cheese," so it was very delicious when I tried it.
Also, one of the pleasures is the stalls where local long-established stores and famous stores open.
There are many gems that you want to taste on this occasion, such as fish kasuzuke and Japanese sweets.
And you can't miss out on elaborate stalls such as "candy work" and "carmeyaki" that can be enjoyed with your eyes, and "Shichimi", which is prepared on the spot according to the customer's taste.
Foods and drinks offered by local stores
It is the real pleasure of Betara City to go around various shops and find your favorite taste.
If you find a delicious food or drink, you will want to visit the shop during normal business hours.
Traditional crafts of Edo
In Bettara City, not only food but also traditional Edo crafts are sold.
You can also get gems that shine with craftsmanship such as "Edo brush" and "Edo Kiriko" at this event.
In the past, I purchased a brush with Edo brush at a long-established store that was specially open at night in Betara City.
I was surprised at a reasonable price than usual.
When I actually use it, I realize that the quality is good and I am very satisfied.
