Hamarikyu Oedo Cultural Arts Festival 2019

Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, a nationally designated special scenic spot and special historic site that conveys the remnants of the daimyo garden during the Edo period. This summer, ahead of 2020 next year, for three days from August 23 to 25, under the comprehensive production of fashion designer Junko Koshino, "Hamarikyu Oedo Cultural Arts Festival 2019" is being held at Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, where the scent of Edo culture is drifting.
In the daytime, Japanese "road" performances (kendo, flower arrangement, tea ceremony, iai, naginata), Japanese music, rakugo cruising, Japanese play (carta, origami, etc.) are held at Uchibori Square special venue in the evening, combining famous Japanese DJs and wadaiko. At the Food Culture Festival, a variety of flavors where you can feel the Japanese food culture are gathered, and a Fukushima booth is also open as part of reconstruction support.
About 300 years ago, the 6th Shogun Ienori lit up the "300 Years of Pine", which is said to have been planted when the garden was renovated. From Ote-mon gate to the center of the garden, the lantern lights invite you to create a fantastic night. On the 23rd of the first day, it rained just before, and a rainbow depicting a large arch was seen in the eastern sky.
