On the afternoon of August 24, just before the opening of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Air Self-Defense Force's acrobatic flight team "Blue Impulse" flew over Tokyo. On the exhibition flight following the opening ceremony of the Olympics on July 13, the same red, blue, and green color smoke as the Paralympic symbol "Three Agitos" was fired to add color to the sky of the capital. The six squadron that took off from the Iruma Air Base in Saitama arrived over Tokyo at around 14:00, and ran around Tokyo for about 15 minutes in a clockwise direction around the Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Station, and Tokyo Tower. The flight course seems to have been set up so that it can be viewed extensively. Despite the unfortunate cloudy sky and bad conditions, we have successfully completed the major role in the opening mood of the Paralympic Games. At the Sumida River Terrace of Tsukuda Park, along with the approach of the formation, cheers came from the gathered people, indicating the high popularity.
