A highway on the roof of "NISHIGINZA" and "Ginza INZ" store street?
Nishi-Ginza Dori (Sotobori-dori St.) Looking at Yurakucho from around Ginza 3-chome, you can see that there is a lot of trouble.
A highway continues on the roof of buildings in the "NISHIGINZA" and "Ginza INZ" store street, and cars are running.
In fact, this "Tokyo Kosoku Doro" is an automobile road constructed and operated by landlords who rent shops in these buildings.
The landlord is a private company called "Tokyo Kosoku Doro Co., Ltd." (established in 1951).
In order to alleviate traffic volume around Ginza, the former outer moat, Kyobashi, and Shiodome rivers were constructed under elevated highways and buildings were leased to more than 400 stores and offices.
(Roads started operation in 1966.)
Although this road is about 2 km around Ginza, it is directly connected to the Metropolitan Expressway and contributes to the network of expressway networks in the capital Tokyo.
Tokyo Kosoku Doro crosses Chuo-dori between Ginza and Kyobashi.
