The ancient shrine, which is said to have been founded in 730 (730), was transferred to the current location of the Omote unlucky direction Guardian of Edo Castle in 1616. It's popular under the name of "Myojin-sama." The reverence of Kanda Myojin has been inherited and the festival is cherished.

With faith, the number of participants has increased, and Kanda festival has turned into a gorgeous and fun-filled festival. Every year, the main festival, which is crowded with about 300,000 spectators, hosts the Shinto Festival and the portable shrine Miyairi.

At the main festival in 2023, which was the first time in four years, sacred wine offices were set up at each town council, and matching seals and hammers were gathered.

At the Shinko Festival, the gorgeous procession of three troupes, portable shrine, and floats go around each town council in shrine parishioner over a day, and in the former Kariya of Nihonbashi Ryogoku, there is a grand Shinto ritual where lunch is served and a festival is added in the evening.
By walking along the cruise route, it was a very enjoyable Edo walk to feel the liveliness of the city up close.
