Miya portable shrine of Honorable Years
On the first floor of the new building at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, floats, Muromachi 1-chome Town Association portable shrine, and Ninomiya portable shrine of Kanda Myojin are on display.
portable shrine was dedicated 50 years ago by Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi to commemorate the 300th anniversary of its founding.
Kanda Myojin will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2023, after welcoming the divine spirit of Shohiko Meimei as the second shrine from Oarai Isosaki-jinja Shrine in 1874.
For this year's Kanda Festival, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the worship of Shohiko Meimei, lacquering and repainting of ornamental hardware have been performed.
The exhibition will be open until May 7th (Sun).
