It's a fire~‼

This year, the night watch by Irifune 1-chome Town Association was held on the schedule from the opening ceremony on January 19.
This is the 52nd year, with many town members, mainly youth clubs participating.
I used to guard for a period of about a month. Those who have a large number of charge were assigned three times and four times. I went hard and happily no matter how cold it was, drunk, and how cold it was.
During the COVID-19 whirlpool, the period, the number of people going around, the time zone, etc. were adjusted each time, but we continued to implement it while changing.

This is a photo of the fire site at Irifune 1-chome in 1972 (Showa 47), 52 years ago.
At 2 o'clock, when the date changed on January 20, the awkwardness was blown up. It was the fourth fire following Tsukiji, Akashicho, and Irifune 2-chome in about two hours. It seems to be a continuous fire for one night. Naturally, a fire truck was dispatched from the previous fire location, and the fire truck was not in time for the fire truck at first, and half of the parcels burned down.
This was mentioned in the previous blog disaster drill.

Taking advantage of this, Irifune 1-chome Town Association formed a youth club and began to perform night watch in winter.
When I was a child, of course, Chuo-ku was a densely populated area with many wooden buildings other than Ginza and Nihonbashi, and fires occurred frequently every year. Fire is not another person's affairs for the locals who have witnessed these fires.
It's been about 30 years ago since I started the night watch. When I was drunk late at night and returned home, I came across a scene where a styrofoam planter was extinguished with a fire extinguisher diagonally in front of my apartment. A taxi driver witnessed the arson and chased, but escaped and gave priority to digestion. I was a member of the night watch the next day.

Irifune 1-chome Town Association is making rice cakes on the last day of the night watch.
During the COVID-19 whirlpool, rice cake making was unable to implement it.
This time, I had many children follow me. Everyone seemed to be really happy, and I felt that they were pleased with the shout of Yoisho.

We distribute rice cakes free of charge and have them eat them. It provided a place to eat with a tent beside it.
We distributed freshly-made hot rice cakes, mainly at the Irifune 1-chome Town Association Women's Club, with anko rice cakes, kinako rice cakes, Isobe rice cakes and zoni.
It was very hot with bare hands and thank you for the hard work of having the rice cake rolled.

This is the long-established Japanese confectionery Yanyuu Funa Aoyagi of Irifune 1-chome.
It is a shop that lasted for 132 years since 1891.
130 years look back on Hanes' blog sweets about the history of Minami Hatchobori Nakanohashi Aoyagi and the fact that Morinaga Seika was the first shop to do business! The details are described in the Japanese sweets shop that supported the early days of Morinaga Seika.

My husband has been active as a youth club of the town council, and my wife has been active for many years as a town council women's manager.
On the last day of the night watch, rice cake making went with the help of Mr. Aoyagi Irifune.
In addition, offerings for the memorial service of Iriichi Jizo and souvenirs for those who visited. We always cooperated with the people who carried the mikoshi at the festival. The festival at the local guardian god Gunsho Shrine is Golden Week. Kashiwa-mochi, where the bearers who drink many drinks reached their hands, was very popular.
A long-standing signboard product is in the middle of an elegant sweetness chrysanthemum using the finest Dainagon.
What is the memory of the tiny chrysanthemum?…
When I first went to greet my stubborn father-in-law, born in Taisho, for the first time, I brought chrysanthemums to my local famous confectionery with souvenirs. According to the story I heard later, he liked "Ume-Ankodana-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-----a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a--a-a- I have a strong memory.
At the end of January 2024, Irifune Aoyagi ended with a long history.

After rice cake making, he watched the town of Irifune 1-chome with his children at night. It's a long line.
Oai chanting a clapping tree and everyone sang "Fire-Jin!"
After the end, the number of juices and sweets handed to the children was about 50 people. It's more than double before Corona.
I really want to be careful not to have a fire.
