September 1, 2023, was the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake.
It is said to be a trench earthquake with the epicenter in northwestern Sagami Bay at 11:58 a.m. on September 1, 1923.
In the Taisho era, his great-grandfather ran a lumber shop in Shinsakaemachi, Kyobashi district. This is a photo of the lumber storage area around 1920. On the second floor of the house on the left side, the family and clerk seemed to be gathering for lunch. When an earthquake occurs, the pillars of the wooden house break and the second floor falls down. Timbers and logs were also placed on the first floor, so they fell on the timber as they were, minimizing human damage caused by the earthquake itself. After that, I will evacuate surrounded by fire. The great great-grandmother was on the moon, and two days later she gave birth in place of refuge. It seems that it has become a town yakinohara.

A disaster drill was held on September 10 of this year, hosted by the Central Elementary School Disaster Prevention Base Steering Committee.
The Kyobashi Fire Station and Tsukiji Police Station cooperated.
The target areas are Irifune 1-chome, Irifune 2-chome, Minato 1-chome, Minato 2-chome.
After gathering at the meeting place of each town council, we headed to Gunsu Children's Park.
After that, we divided into four groups according to each town council and went around each corner.
In the meantime, the person in charge of each town council visited the elderly alone and trained to confirm their safety.

We received a panel display and explanation of the evacuation drill with pets. This is the picture above.
At the Chuo Elementary School Disaster Prevention Center, dogs, cats and small animals that can be kept in gauges are available for disaster prevention for evacuation site and pets.
The photo below shows the assembly of a simple toilet.
Put a tent around and make it a private room. By inserting the bottom part of the tent into the tent pole, it can be prevented from turning by the wind.

The evacuation space at Chuo Elementary School is a gymnasium.
The personal space is about one sheet. You can sleep with cushions and cardboard.
If you need a private room, use a tent to secure space.
The photo below shows first aid training using AED.
I was shown a list of AED installation locations in Irifune and Minato (Is it a little old).

The photo above is the smoke experience house.
If you enter inside and fill it with smoke, nothing will disappear, and you will lose your sense of direction, such as right and left.
It was a valuable experience that I didn't want to experience.
The photo below shows the corner where you can check the hardness by kicking the board installed at the boundary position to evacuate to an adjacent room such as an apartment. Of course, I think I'm going to kick in an emergency.

The photo above shows the space for the initial fire drill.
The powder spread in an instant. It's important to be calm.
The lower part is a car where you can experience a seismic vehicle.
I've been riding many times, but it's not always pleasant. I don't want to experience it, but I'll have to be prepared to come someday.

It is a tasting corner of the curry cooked.
It's something that we want to keep as an individual with water.
Below is a mini-pat car ride experience.
In addition, there was a white motorcycle ride experience and a fire protection clothing wearing corner.
Many children also participated.

When the date changed on January 20, 1972. In about an hour, Tsukiji, Akashicho, Irifune 2-chome and a series of fires that seem to be arson will occur. And a few minutes later, a fire came next to his awkward home. It's the fourth fire. I was waked up by my grandfather just after two a.m. and looked out of the window with my obsolete eyes, and it was all orange. The photo shows a very cool parents' home. In the wake of this fire, there was a voice calling for themselves to watch the night, and a youth club was formed in the town council, and the night watch is still being held in January.

The common people of Edo were plagued by repeated large fires, and Hirokoji was set up in Ueno and Asakusa as a fire-prevention area. Ryogoku Hirokoji is also built around Higashinihombashi in the central ward. At present, the Ryogoku Hirokoji Monument is installed on the west side of Ryogoku Bridge.
After the Great Kanto Earthquake, a wide road was created as one of the reconstruction projects in Tokyo.
Showa-dori in the above photo is a wide road with 10 lanes, including the underpass, and plays a role in stopping the spread of fires. Before the earthquake, most of the wooden houses in Chuo-ku were densely populated.
The supplies and evacuation space prepared at the evacuation center are limited. Basically, we do not calculate the number of residents of high-rise apartments or those who have difficulty returning home during work.
There were many aftershocks when I went to volunteer in Great East Japan Earthquake. There is also a possibility that a tsunami will strike. I was repeatedly told by the leaders of the day-to-day activities, "Tsunami Tendenko."
Prepare for disasters as much as possible and help each other as much as possible.
