Setsubun is literally the day before spring, summer, fall, and winter. In particular, Ritsuharu is the day to signal the beginning of spring, so there is an idea that it will be the beginning of the year.
Considering Ritsuharu as the New Year, the day before is like New Year's Eve, and "bean-throwing ceremony" is held as an event to purify all the evils of the previous year.
"Fukuwa Uchi" is Setsubun Fukuzu, which contains two types of roasted beans, "Sodeshin Daizu" from Hokkaido and "Red Soybeans" from Yamagata Prefecture, in a masu stamped with the name of the store. It is a dish of the weather when Congratulations on tafuku, oval, dried sweets shaped like pine and plums are included.
