One month to Kanda festival!

Earlier, I introduced the festival committee held in November.

Last April 3, 2025, there was also a festival committee and attended.
shrine parishioner of Kanda Myojin, and 108 town council members gathered together.
I'm 42 years old, but I'm quite young at the age of 42, and it's also a place to struggle with care,

It was quite a lot of content, mainly from internal talks such as business reports, confirmation of the schedule of Kanda festival, precautions from Manseibashi Police Station, etc.
Finally, I realized that Kanda festival was coming in 2025.

 One month to Kanda festival!

Kanda festival and Chuo-ku

It may be a preaching to the Buddha, but I would like to explain it again.

Kanda festival
One of the three major festivals in Edo, along with the Sanno Festival and Fukagawa Hachiman Festival.
Along with the Gion Festival in Kyoto and the Tenjin Festival in Osaka, it is one of the three major festivals in Japan.

In particular, Sanno Festival and Kanda festival have similar origins.
Both are "Tenka Matsuri" which is related to the Tokugawa Shogunate.
During the Edo period, the floats of both festivals entered Edo Castle and were allowed to have an audience with the generals.

The festival itself is held every year.
It is called the "main festival (Kanda festival that you imagine)" and is held once every two years.
One of the main festivals are held alternately every year at the Sanno Festival and Kanda festival (initially, the audience with the general was changed every year).
In 2024, the Sanno Festival was very lively. 2025 is Kanda festival's turn.

The Sanno Festival and Kanda Festival are currently held in Chiyoda-ku and Chuo-ku.
The target area is different. To put it quite rough

It depends on it. Where is that? I think so, but it's a bit annoying when writing.

shrine parishioner Town Association of Kanda Myojin
→Almost all areas north of the Nihonbashi River and some other areas of the former Kanda Ward and the former Nihonbashi Ward.

shrine parishioner Town Association of Hie-jinja Shrine
→Former Kojimachi Ward and former Nihonbashi Ward south of Nihonbashi River

That's right. If you look into the wikipedia
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%B1%9F%E6%88%B8%E7%A5%AD%E7%A4%BC%E6%B0%8F%E5%AD%90%E7%94%BA%E4%B8%80%E8%A6%A7

I'm sorry to the person who wrote it, but I don't know at all.
So I tried it on my own. When we talk about our Chuo-ku, it is as shown in the table below.

At last year's Sanno Festival, it became a hot topic because Takashimaya put out elephant floats.
That's because Takashimaya has a shop in Nihonbashi (Hie-jinja Shrine area).

Conversely, this time it is Mitsukoshi's turn (Mitsukoshi is Nihonbashi Muromachi = Kanda Myojin area)
I think you can understand why Mitsukoshi's letters are included in the first photo of this blog.

 One month to Kanda festival!

Kanda festival comes once every two years

One month until the Kanda Festival, where Kanda festival arrives once every two years!

On the day, a guidebook was distributed to attendees.
Those who live in the shrine parishioner Neighborhood Association of Kanda Myojin are expected to arrive soon.

This guidebook has a lot of content.
I hope you will read it carefully and deepen your knowledge of Kanda festival.

In the future blog
I would like to introduce some of the highlights as a central inhabitant of a ward.
※For better or worse, Nihonbashi is the center of it because it is a person in Nihonbashi.
