Meet rare wild birds at the mouth of the Sumida River ・ Announcement of observation on February 8
Who is this bird? ? ?
In the fifth year of birdwatching at the mouth of the Sumida River, we encountered birds with unknown names! It's a rare event on January 29th.
At night, a friend of birdwatching contacted me and found it "the female black duck."
Black duck is a winter bird, and many are said to winter in Hokkaido, but it can be seen in Choshi and Kujukuri Beach in Honshu.
Here at the mouth of the Sumida River, ducks are wintered by mallard, northern pintail, Eurasian wigeon and Suzugamo.
As a feature of this year, suzugamo is coming to the mouth of the Kamejima River in large quantities.
Walking around Aioi Bridge, this time there is a clam grebes.
This is also a winter bird, and the probability of encountering is low, but I often see it this year.
It was a very satisfying bird walk today.
