rosemary sea

This is a rosemary sea, which actively covers "gifts and I enjoy myself."

I thought it was the first basement floor of the Kyobashi Library, but in fact, the Kyobashi Library floor itself is the first basement floor, so there is a regional reference room on the second basement floor below it.

It's an oasis for those who are researching Chuo-ku and those who guide Chuo-ku.

As with the library itself, I think many people have used this library.

It is convenient that anyone can easily use, see, search, and introduce abundant and valuable materials, and covers not only Chuo-ku but also Edo and Tokyo suburbs.

Of course, rosmari may also be doing research here.

I love the retro and solemn atmosphere like the world of Harry Potter.

On January 24, a few hours before the article of Passive Tashishi's "New Face in the Archives" was posted on this blog, Rosmari was just visiting the Archives, that is, the Kyobashi Library Regional Archives Room.

The purpose is: To meet Mr. Sugawara from President Higuchi of Nihonbashi Benmatsu Sohonten, to introduce Mr. Sugawara in the regional reference room here.

We spoke with Kenji Sugawara, Kyobashi Library in Chuo Ward.

Mr. Sugawara ...

Mr. Sugawara is now 68 years old.

I have been in charge of the Central City Library Regional Archives for 36 years.

Former Chuo-ku staff, he was re-elected as a part-time staff when he reached retirement age, and then re-employed for his third year.

As soon as I was transferred to the library, I was qualified as a librarian.

At the Chuo Ward Kyobashi Library, he was in charge of editing "Chuo-ku History Chart (Kyobashi, Nihonbashi, Tsukishima)" and writing and editing "Jr Chuo-ku Cultural History Zukan".

I am studying the city history of Edo and Tokyo.

Currently, "Edo / Tokyo River = River in Chuo-ku" in "News from Local Room" is serialized.

Major books

"River Map Dictionary Edo, Tokyo 23 wards" (Noshio)

"River Map Dictionary Tama Eastern Edition" (Noshio)

"Edo / Tokyo Guide to Follow the River Ruins" (Yosensha)

Co-author

"Comparative Examination Edo Tokyo Old Map Walk" (New People Oraisha)

"Entertaining the Geography of Tokyo" (Nippon Business Publishing)

There is something like that.

Mr. Sugawara is proud of being the "loved apprentice" of Professor Masao Suzuki, a city historian.

Our knowledge of history is backed up, and our daily reference services have a reputation.

During the interview with Rosmari on this day, those who visited this regional archive for the first time were kind and polite.

There are other customers who are looking for reference services, so it's a very busy job.

Of course, the other four people in charge of the regional archives also felt when Rosmali visited before, but they are only very kind.

Mr. Sugawara,

"It's our librarian's job to know the materials and connect them to users, so if you don't know the materials, you can't connect them."

"Our job is to provide materials that say that when I want to read a book with such a content or to look into something like this, when I see it, I will come out."

Yes, you say.

5 or 10 years, it's finally a single person.

・・This time, I will do this.

In March next month

・ The appeal of the regional archives and interviews with Mr. Sugawara

・ Construction plan for the new library "Honnomori Chuou (tentative name)" and relocation of Kyobashi Library as the Central Building

I would like to talk about it.

About "Book Forest Chuo (tentative name)", I think you will hear.

Please wait for the article next month.
