Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Athlete Village NOW
Hello, this is the correspondent RIEdel.
Five months before the opening of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the Tokyo 2020 Games). The construction of Harumi's athlete village is also progressing, and the whole picture is appearing.
This time, I will report on what is going on at Harumi's athlete village and its related facilities now with photos!
Harumi Triton Square - Commander of the Tokyo 2020 Games -
On the way from Kachidoki Station on the Toei Oedo Line to the Harumi Athlete Village area, Harumi Triton Square is always seen.
This large building includes the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee, the command tower for the operation of the Tokyo 2020 Games. In addition to the staff of Tokyo, a large number of seconded employees from local governments and private companies have gathered, and the number is about 3,000. As you walk through the so-called Triton, you can see quite a few people wearing the official neck straps for the Tokyo 2020 Games. I wonder if they are all involved.
During the tournament, it seems that there will be a base for exchange with players and tournament officials in Triton, so if you want to feel the excitement of the Tokyo 2020 Games, you may want to stop by.
Facilities that support the lives of players-Village Plaza-
Walk for about 5 minutes toward Harumi Wharf with Triton Square behind, and you will see Village Plaza on the left hand (Northwest Tsume) in front of Toyosu Ohashi. This is located at the entrance of the athlete's village, and it will be a facility where you can interact with family and friends, as well as stores that support the life of players during the tournament, such as general stores, cafes, and flower shops. It seems that the Irimura style is also held here.
In addition, a media center will be included, and media from various countries will use here to communicate the hot battles of athletes to the world.
The building of Village Plaza uses plenty of domestic timber. It seems that 63 municipalities have provided wood, so your hometown trees may be used.
The outer wall wood is marked with "Kaneyama-cho, Yamagata Prefecture".
Area where athletes live-Housing Zone-
After crossing Route 2, there are areas and residential zones where players live during the tournament.
It seems that the construction of the 21 accommodation facilities has been completed, and when you walk toward Harumi Wharf, you will continue to follow the 14th to 18th floors. Anyway, it's amazing.
Each building has a calm color, but it is not a uniform design, but the taste is different and wonderful.
What? Oh, in the area of the athlete village, isn't there a tower apartment? Why aren't there any high-rise buildings? And you who thought. I'm sure. Yes, Tawaman is scheduled to be built, but that's after the Tokyo 2020 Games are over.
It seems that the space for athletes to spend during the tournament is determined by the height of the 15th floor or lower and the regulations of the Olympic Games, and only the middle and low-rise buildings are built ahead of time.
There are also commercial facilities with fitness centers and general clinics.
Main dining to support athlete's diet
The residential building will be converted to condominiums and rental condominiums after the Tokyo 2020 Games, but other temporary facilities will be built for a limited time.
One of them is the main dining room. This facility, which has 5,000 seats, can be used 24 hours a day, and plans to serve 45,000 meals a day, prepares meals that take into account the religion and culture of each country, such as halal food in line with Islam's commandments.
The windows are large, and it is likely to be a bright and open space.
By the way, a school will be built in this place after Tokyo 2020. Schools are naturally necessary because a city with a population of 12,000 will be born.
In the future, it seems that transportation malls (bus stops used by players for transportation) and Harumi Wharf Park along Tokyo Bay will be developed. The athlete village area, which continues to change rapidly, can't keep an eye on for a while.
