■Chuo-ku History Shoyo <16> Two Kawayanagi dots-The fourth generation of Hatchobori concentric and the fifth generation of Tsukuda Island-
"Gosei Kawayanagi Mizutani Ryotei stone monument" stands on the grounds of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine in Tsukuda. The fifth generation Kawayanagi was concentric by the fourth generation Kawayanagi and Hitomi Shusuke of Hatchobori concentric. Both of these two Kawayanagi dots studied as the masters of the second generation Kawayanagi and Yasoemon Karai, and played an active part in the Kawayanagi world of the late Edo period as the fourth generation and the fifth generation, and inherited the Edo Kawayanagi literary arts.
The stone monument was built in November 1966 by the residents of Tsukuda. The inscription is "The Gosei Kawayanagi, a person who has a peaceful and hard time."
Shisei Kawayanagi, Shusuke Hitomi-Hatchobori's Book Concentric
Shisei Kawayanagi is the real name of Shusuke Hitomi. Born in Edo in 1778. It was concentric with the books of the town magistrate's office and Minamimachi 2 program Mamoru Tsutsui Iga. The above figure "Hatchobori Gumiyashiki Hosomi Figure" shows the Hitomi family (circular seal). The figure on the right shows the image of Shisei Kawayanagi and Hitomi Shusuke from "Kawayanagi Hyakunin Ichiku". "Kyoku Genso IV Kawayanagi" Firefly in the wake of night study "Kunisadashi".
Entered the gate of Nisei Kawayanagi and called it Shizumaru (Shizumaru = Nemurite / Shizumaru). It is said that there is a first appearance in 35 volumes of "Shufuyanagi Taru" in 1806 (1806). In 1811, there were Shizumarusen and Jukasha 19th, and the word "Kyoku" appeared, and was later said to be the founder of Haiku Kyoku.
It is said that a monthly meeting was held at Hatchobori's home around 1823 (1823). In 1824, he took over the fourth generation from Kawayanagi. It seems that during the peak of the Bunsei and Tenpo eras, literary people such as Seizan Matsura, Seventh Danjuro Ichikawa, Jukasha 19, Katsushika Hokusai, Tanehiko Yanagitei were named under the fourth generation Kawayanagi. He retired in 1837 (1837) and gave way to the fifth generation. He died on Feb. 5, 1844. 66. Edited by "Kawayanagi Hyakunin Ichiku" (1834), etc.
Kinzo Mizutani - village headman on Tsukuda Island
The fifth generation Kawayanagi is the real name of Mizutani Kinzo. Born in Minami Kayabacho in 1787 (1787). According to the explanation board, "I lost my father when I was young, was bred by Tsukuda Island fishermen Taihei Mizutani, and served as village headman on Tsukuda Island." The figure on the right shows the image of the fifth generation Kawayanagi and Mizutani Kinzo from "Kawayanagi Hyakunin Ichiku". "Kishihimematsurenren's tsusai Tsukuda", "It's easy to hold."

At the beginning of the cultural year (1804-1818), he entered the gate of Kawayanagi Nisei and named it "Namagusai Tatsukuri" and Ryokutei. After the death of the second generation, he became the master of the fourth generation. At the age of 50 in 1837 (1837), he was handed over from the fourth generation Kawayanagi and Hitomi Shusuke, and claimed to be the fifth generation Kawayanagi.
In 1840 (1840), it was finished in 167 volumes of "Shufu Yanagi Taru", and the following year, "New Edition Yanagi Taru" was published. In August 1858 (1858), he died of cholera. 71. It is said that he was buried at Tsukiji Honganji Temple. "I received a medal from magistrate's office, Minamicho, three times for my achievements in cultivating my father-in-law and correcting the customs of Tsukuda Island." In addition to the co-authored "Kyoku Hyakumi Tansu" and "Sumiyoshi Shrine Hogenkyokukai", he also has many works of Sosou paper and biography.
The origin of Kawayanagi's origins
On the side of Keiseiueno station building, facing Chuo-dori, there is a monument to Kawayanagi's origins, sland of Kawayanagi Taru departure. It was erected in August 2015 (August 2015) by the Yanagitaru 250 Executive Committee and Taito Ward Board of Education.
Excerpting the explanation board, "In July 1765 (1765), a person named Goryokenka Yu selected a phrase with a deep laugh from the victory of the first Kawayanagi reputation, and today "Kawayanagi's origin" "Published "Shufu Yanagi Taru". Near this area is Hoshiundo (Hujiro Hanatani), a publisher of "Shufu Yanagi Taru", which contributed to the prosperity of "Kawayanagi-style" through the book, and raised Kawayanagi as one of Edo literary arts. "
The phrase of the monument "Flying as if there are wings" is written by Kureryoken, the editor of "Shufu Yanagi Taru", whose name is "Cotton". (@AM)
