Alleys in Ginza: An alley where Hodo Inari Shrine is located

Ginza 4-chome Brick Street, Tenshodo Building (currently under reconstruction)

Enter the alley between Ginza Subaru Building and turn right, and there is an L-shaped alley that leads to Matsuya-dori (between the bridge building and Namikikan).

Nearly half of this alley, "Hodo Inari Shrine" is enshrined.

"Hodo Inari Shrine" is a guardian god in Ginza 4-chome, which was called Yazaemon-cho until 1930, and is said to be a shrine for child-rearing prayers that began when Yazaemon, the town master of the Edo period, applied for a separate enshrined from Edo Castle Momijiyama.

In addition to this L-shaped alley, the G4 BRICKS BLD was newly built on Brick Street in 2016. An alley was passed beside the new approach to Hodo Inari.

On the left of the photo, there is a stone pillar with the word "Hodo Inari approach".

At the entrance of the new approach to the road, monkey art (by Yoshi Gen Watanabe) is beckoning to guide the alley.

In front of Hodo Inari Shrine, which entered this alley, there are two monkey statues sitting and waiting for worshipers.
