To the city of art wrapped in cherry blossoms in Japanese painting
Until April 5th (Sun), a wrapping art on the theme of cherry blossoms by seven young Japanese painters is displayed in the passage on the first floor of Kyobashi Square Garden in Kyobashi. It is a large cherry tree with a height of 3.6 meters and a width of about 20 meters. This work was created based on works collected by Yasuhisa Hayashida of Hayashida Gallery, a member of the Tokyo Art Antique Executive Committee.
In the old days, Kano school lived in the Edo period, and Hiroshige Ando spent his later years. In the Taisho era, there was also a membership restaurant for Rosanjin Kitaoji. Today there is an antique street, and there are many art shops and galleries around it.
An event called Tokyo Art Antique is held every year for three days before the consecutive holidays, and this year the largest number of 97 houses will participate. From Ginza to Nihonbashi, you can easily enter the shop and enjoy antiques and art. It is this time when cherry blossom viewing does not remain, but hopefully you can calm down quickly and return to your usual spring.
