Birth Commemorative Tree Planting

Chuo-ku has been planting a commemorative tree since 1989 to commemorate the birth. The Chuo-ku is divided into four locations, and the Tsukishima and Tsukudajima areas are Ishikawajima Park, the Nihonbashi area is Hamacho Park, the Kyobashi area is Tepposu Children's Park (Tsukiji River Park this year), and the Kachidoki area has been planting trees at Harumi Rinkai Park since 2002. The type of tree began to plant cherry blossoms from 2002, but before that it was said that laurels and willows were not decided. Currently, "Oshima Sakura" is planted in Kachidoki Harumi Rinkai Park and "Yoshino cherry tree" is planted in others. The photo above is a commemorative tree planting of Tsukiji River Park. A metal plate is attached to the tree, and the name of the born person is listed. At the end of January, a postcard will be mailed to those born between January and December of the previous year, and 60-70% of them will receive a reply and the name of the approved child will be listed.

The photo above shows a commemorative tree planting at the Paris Square in Ishikawajima Park. A metal plate is attached to the tree. The fact that the name remains in this way means that the local love of being born in Chuo-ku and that even if you grow up and move elsewhere, you can tell the children that you were born in Chuo-ku.
