♣Introduction of original text "Shinko Hosoku Ginza-dori" Omoide (1) ②

Next to my house, there was a Kankoba, and our brothers went there like every day. Everything was my house work, and a person named Minamitani was doing it. Minamitani has a shop in Ningyocho since now, but since it was made with lacquer, it was commonly called a Kinchaku's recommended factory. After the Russo-Japanese War, the Kanjo factory gradually faded with the epidemic of department store stoore, and it seems that it is almost gone now, but at that time there was always one or two in a slightly crowded place. In Ginza alone, one or two houses in the Yomiuri Shimbun under 1-chome is Maruju next to Maruju, Maruyoshi facing each other, Minamitani, and Kikuya, which was before the earthquake (this disappeared soon) There was a present Hakuhinkan in Owaricho and six or seven recommended factories.

Indeed, this factory is one of the likelihoods of Meiji period, and one of our unforgettable nostalgic things. There are shops selling toys, picture paper, stationery, tansu (tansu), mirror stand, lacquerware, lacquerware, and various items on both sides of the narrow passage, and a half of the passage, and tatami mats are arranged in a corner of `` Showcase '' where people are sitting in a small brazier or fire at the Taisho era.

Night lights were occupied by electricity from the beginning of the Taisho era, but in the Meiji era it was generally oil lamps, which turned into gas lamps, but Ginza's industrial factory had electric lamps early on. When I was a child, I went to Maruyoshi's factory in 1-chome in the evening, and when I saw the illustrated ceiling, it was very beautiful that the electricity in one row on the ceiling of the long corridor suddenly came to one place. I thought it was beautiful, and then I often went to see the lights in the evening. Ark lights were on the factory next to the house early on, and I loved the color of the light. In summer, a lot of insects came in, and in the morning, carbon fell on the sidewalk. Around the Meiji 34th and 5th year, a gas company went on a business trip at the adjacent factory for advertising and displayed beautiful gas lamps, gas baths, gas kettles, etc. However, I often went there and went there to play because I was a gas company. It was fun to fire my specialty gas.
