The home runbar debuted from Chuo-ku

There are various "Japan's first" in Chuo-ku, but the first ice cream bar is one of them.
While strolling around Koami Shrine, there was a nostalgic "home runbar" advertisement in the building.
Perhaps, when I approached the building, thinking that it was a company that manufactures home runbars, I found a nameplate saying "Kyodo Dairy Co., Ltd."
It is the head office of a company that manufactures and sells milk, cheese, pudding, ice cream, soft drinks, etc. under the brand name Meito.

For readers of this blog who don't know "Home Run Bar", its predecessor was born in 1955 (Showa 30) as Japan's first ice cream bar, and in 1960 (Showa 35), "One more if you get a win," and Japan's first ice bar with a lottery, "Home Runbar," has been released.
It is wrapped in silver paper, and a stick (ice stick) is stuck on the rectangular ice, and if the stick is marked with a "pert" mark, you will be given another gift. While licking the home runbar, I was able to enjoy the thrilling feeling until the hit came out.

This year marks the 60th anniversary

This year's 60th anniversary home runver debuted from Chuo-ku

Home runbars have changed over time, not only vanilla flavor, but also chocolate, melon soda, melon milk and mixed juice flavor.
The "reversing home runbar" released in January of this year is a product that pursues "fun" and "surprise" that replaces the appearance and taste of "vanilla sprinkled with chocolate" and "choco taste sprinkled by vanilla".
In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of this year's popular long-selling products that can still be purchased at convenience stores and supermarkets, the "Home Runver Silver Paper Asort (vanilla / Choco-Chip Chocolate) 60th Anniversary Package" will be released on May 10th. And I'm glad that you can exchange it at the shop where you buy it if you get the old-fashioned hit.
During the nesting, licking Japan's first ice cream bar and remembering that time in the Showa era may be exciting.
