What is the relationship between Chuo-ku and Taiwan connected beyond space and time?

How are you going to spend? With the expansion of the COVID-19 infection, it was unforeseen that the rapid globalization of globalization would take on rapid brakes, and that it would be easier to travel across Tokyo and prefectures, as well as overseas.

That's why I think that we will move in the future with COVID-19 era, which is said to be the new normal, in a virtual manner, and this time, I would like to touch on the connection between Taiwan and Chuo-ku that transcends time and space.

Speaking of Taiwan, there are many highlights, but the architecture of the Japanese colonial era is one of them.

The photo (photographed by Yoshifumi Katakura) is the President's Office (former Governor's Office of Taiwan).
It is said to be an indispensable building for talking about Taiwan during the Japanese colonial era.
It is a rare large building at the time, and its design is full of personality. How about the color and appearance, I guess it somehow reminds me of the brick structure of Tokyo Station.

The upper wing ceremony was held on June 25, 1915 (Daisho 4), and was completed in 1919, about three years later.
The design of this building was decided by a nationwide competition with sweepstakes (design competition), which is said to be Japan's first.
Seven of the 28 participants were selected, and the proposal of Uheiji Nagano (hereinafter referred to as title omitted) was adopted. The judge at that time was
Kingo Tatsuno, Yorinaka Tsumaki (Yorinaka), Chuta Ito, Ichiro Nomura, etc. And it is said that Matsunosuke Moriyama has modified the plan of Uheiji Nagano and has the current design.

・・I can't forbid surprise what such a member is.

Kingo Tatsuno and Yorinaka Tsumaki have been featured in blogs in the past.

・Kingo Tatsuno: A person who was said to have designed the Bank of Japan, Tokyo Station, etc. and realized the foundation of modern Japanese architecture.
・Yorinaka Tsumaki: A descendant of Hiroko Muki, the wife of Akechi Mitsuhide, designed the statue of Kirin in Nihonbashi.
・Chuta Ito: Not to mention Tsukiji Honganji Temple
・Uheiji Nagano: After that, he designed the Bank of Japan and the Bank of Japan branches.

This time, I would like to mention Mr. Matsunosuke Moriyama.

This time, I would like to talk about the relationship between Chuo-ku and Taiwan, which is connected beyond time and space by Matsunosuke Moriyama.

The many Historic buildings remaining in Taipei City, Taiwan cannot be spoken without this person (Matsunosuke Moriyama).
If you compete for elegance, the Inspection Office (former Taipei Metropolitan Government Office), which is said to be the lead, the former Taiwan Governor's Office monopoly office, Hachikakudo, the former Taipei water source pump room ... It seems that there is a reason here that the existing Taiwan architecture reminds me of majesty and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere.

Matsunosuke Moriyama designed Yonaivir in Chuo-ku.

Matsunosuke Moriyama designed in Chuo-ku what is the relationship between Chuo-ku and Taiwan, which is connected beyond the space and time of the Yonai Building.

On the first floor of the Yonei Building, there is Henri Charpantier, the birthplace of Ashiya.
(When I entered this store for the first time, I felt that Ginza is a coffee shop with a fashionable Saga dan difference.)

The first floor is stone-covered and solid, worthy of history, but the design is varied. On the first floor, the left and right are asymmetrical, the windows are rhythmically arranged, and the arch is twisted pillar. This feature comes from the Romanesque style, and the balconies on the first and second floors are Renaissance style.
This balcony is symmetrical and creates a sign that there are people. I am an amateur of architecture, but it can be said that Matsunosuke Moriyama's experience in various styles in Taiwan is a living building.

Next, Maruka Building

Next, what is the relationship between Chuo-ku and Taiwan, which connects the Maruka Building beyond time and space?

"Maruka Building" is where the spirit of Matsunosuke Moriyama lives.
The size of a three-story building on a site of about 100 square meters is said to be a remnant of a store that once lived with it. The rare size in Ginza is still being transmitted along with the world view of the brand in which you move in.

I can't talk about it, but the next time and later.

The more you know, the deeper you know

The more you know, the deeper the relationship between Chuo-ku and Taiwan, which connects beyond space and space.

In creating this blog, I refer to "Taipei Historical Architecture Exploration" (Yoshifumi Katakura, photo). Thankfully, the author, Yoshifumi Katakura, gave us a comment.

"Chuo-ku and Taiwan are Uheiji Nagano, the head office of the Bank of Japan, Shinpei Goto, who worked on Showa-dori, and the monument of the spirit of the deceased from Taiwan at Tsukiji Honganji Temple. I'm not exhausted."

I would like to continue to work in the future.
