② Chuo-ku, seen from the boat - full of new discoveries! Jobanbashi
As you go up the Nihonbashi River opposite the Nishikawabashi Bridge and Ichikoku Bridge, you will see the stone Joban Bridge (formerly Tokiwa Bridge).
Tokiwa Hashikado, which has a magnificent Masugata gate on the stone wall foundation leading to the main entrance of Edo Castle, and a tower, was located at Tokiwa Bridge.
It is made by adding stones brought from Koishikawamon to the gate foundation stone. Currently, we are repairing damaged parts in Great East Japan Earthquake, and the beauty of the finished stone that has been re-established in some places is craftsmanship!
The construction of Tokiwa Bridge Park is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
It is also close to the well-maintained stone wall outside Edo Castle. The view from the unobstructed ship is exceptional.
