5 bridges in Chuo-ku! Support for medical personnel, etc.

Hello. Hanes, who lived in Chuo-ku and walked around Chuo-ku for the first time in a long time.
On August 1st, the long rainy season finally ended.
While there is a desire to enjoy the summer, COVID-19 infection's anxiety remains at this time.
For this reason, I kept my going out for one hour and went to see the Sumidagawa Bridges illuminated (3rd) that began on August 1st. (Light-up time: 15 minutes after sunset to 23:00)

To date, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been lighting up the Sumidagawa Bridges in order to improve the bustle of the waterside and utilize it as a new tourism resource, but Kiyosu Bridge, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, Kachidokibashi, Tsukiji Ohashi 6 bridges including have been added, and 12 bridges have been lit up.
We are also carrying out light-ups to support medical professionals and others who are committed to treating COVID-19 infection patients.
This time, we will deliver the scenery of 5 bridges (4 bridges above + Eitai Bridge) located in Chuo-ku out of the 10 bridges that are supported by medical professionals and others as main photos.

It was the first night of the rainy season, so the moon looked beautiful.
Some photos show the moon and stars along with the bridge, so be sure to take a look at the sky.♪

Kiyosu Bridge

The Kiyosu Bridge, which can be seen in the top photo, was planned along with Eitai Bridge as an earthquake reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake, and was completed in 1928.
It is modeled on the suspension bridge of Rhine in Cologne, Germany, and has been designated as a national important cultural property after being evaluated as "a suspension bridge representing the early Showa era based on cutting-edge technology at that time."
As mentioned above, there is also a relationship with Eitai Bridge, and it may be introduced together.
At that time, Kiyosu Bridge may be compared with feminine, and Eitai Bridge may be compared with masculine.

Even in the daytime, the whole view has a somewhat exotic atmosphere, but at night it showed a different look.

Eitai Bridge

The Eitai Bridge, which was briefly introduced at Kiyosu Bridge, is said to have been built in 1698 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the fifth shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa.
At that time, it was a wooden bridge that was bridged 150m upstream from today, and was known as a place of coolness in summer.

The blue light reflected on the water surface of the Sumida River is beautiful and can be seen all the time.

However, once you look at the details, you can see the crystals of technology there.
In fact, as well as this bridge and Kiyosu Bridge, it is an important cultural property of the country, but the reason for the designation is based on the evaluation of "steel arch bridge that achieved the maximum branch by using new steel materials".
This time, a photo of the illuminated part is posted, but it is one of the bridges that you want to pay attention to the steel materials and technology, such as from the top, bottom, and side.

Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge

The bridge was built in 1964 in place of Tsukuda's ferry.
In the daytime, the image of a light yellow-green bridge was strong, but when it was lit up, it has a different taste.
I've also confirmed the blue light-up part!

This time, I was photographed from the Akashicho side, and in the back you can see a high-rise apartment in Tsukishima.
In the past, the Tsukuda River flowed between Tsukuda Island and Tsukishima, but it was reclaimed by the construction of this bridge, and the two islands were connected to the ground.
Information boards depicting the origin of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge and the scenery of Tsukuda Island are installed on the balustrade of the bridge.
Nowadays, thanks to this bridge, it has become quite convenient, but it is not bad to think about it in the Edo period.

Kachidokibashi

Futaba Jumping Bridge, completed in 1940, was said to be the best movable bridge in the East at the time of completion.
In the past, it jumped five times a day, and its appearance can be seen in literature and photographs related to Chuo-ku.
This bridge has also been designated as a National Important Cultural Property based on its evaluation of "a highly technically completed structure with the largest movable branch in Japan".

You can learn more about such Kachidokibashi and other Sumida River bridges at the Kachidokibashi Museum, which was created by renovating the substations used to open this bridge at the time.

Tsukiji Ohashi

A new bridge completed in 2015 and opened on the same day as the whole Chuo-ku Museum in 2018 (November 4).

From nearby, you can enjoy the light-up of the Rainbow Bridge and the view of the Hamarikyu Garden at night.

Yeah

This time, we introduced 5 bridges that are lighting up support for medical professionals.
Even if you can't easily come to Chuo-ku, we hope you can enjoy the "seasonal scenery".

Recently, I often hear the news that the same generation, 20s and 30s, account for 70% of infected person.
Because I'm a self-proclaimed active correspondent, I want to go out if the weather is fine.
However, with this light-up, I thought again about the burden on medical professionals and others, and decided to do what I could do now to reduce it. .
When going out, I want to avoid crowds and take sufficient measures against infectious diseases, and enjoy Chuo-ku after the rainy season.
