History of the Emblem Tsukiji Gobo
The "octagonal chrysanthemum Kuzushi crest" is drawn on the square lid in front of main hall in the precincts of Tsukiji Honganji Temple. Like the crest of "Descent wisteria", this chrysanthemum kuzushi crest is also one of the emblems of Honganji.
There is a crest called a regular crest or a replacement crest, and it may have multiple crests in one generation or one generation.
The crest of the Hino family, the birthplace of Shinran Saints, is Tsurumaru. When the relationship with the Imperial Palace is built, the crests of the Imperial Family, "Kikuhanamon" and "57 paulownia" will be used. In 1898, the 22nd lord of Honganji Temple, Kagami Nyojin (Kozui Otani), married Kujo Haruko, and in May 1903, the Kujo family's "Descent Fuji" was used as a religious crest at the time of the Buddhist memorial service report of Kagami Nyojin.
Since then, both the Otani family and Honganji have come to the crest of "down wisteria", and the tradition continues to this day.
The chrysanthemum Kuzushi crest introduced earlier is also used in various forms inside the building of Tsukiji Honganji.
