Summer is amazake
After the long rainy season ended, it became a real heat.
In the usual year, we take out the cause, such as "Let's get out of the hot weather soon", and there are more opportunities for drinking parties, but this year during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to refrain from drinking parties where people gather.
It is said that the heat removal does not originally refer to a "drinking party", but refers to removing the heat accumulated in the body by cooling the body by bathing or cooling the body with cold food.

Well, speaking of amazake in Chuo-ku, I think of "amazake Yokocho" in Ningyocho.
In the early Meiji era, there was a sweet liquor store called Owari-ya at the entrance of the alley, and people who stopped at Suitengu and Meijiza stopped here and drank amazake, so this alley became known as Amazakaya Yokocho and amazake Yokocho.
The Owari-ya does not exist at present, and there is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop, Gyoeido, on the site, but amazake is not provided.
Just on the other side of the road, you can get amazake at Futaba Shoten, a long-established tofu shop founded in 1907.
It's usually warm amazake, but in summer you can get a "cold amazake" for 200 yen per cup until September. It is also called "drinking infusion" and has a refreshing taste with the function of adjusting the intestinal environment.
