At the same time, Mr. Morikoshi, who is in charge of izutuki, also guided us.

『』 The inside is Mr. Morikoshi's comment.

First of all, I would like to explain about Ogura weaving.

Ogura Ori is ...

Since the early Edo period, Kokura Ori has been woven as a hakama or obi in the Buzen Kokura Domain and the current Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Ieyasu Tokugawa also used as a haori for falconry, and was prized all over Japan.

It was also loved by Sakamoto Ryoma and others of late Tokugawa shogunate.

Meiji period, boys' school clothes and summer clothes have been newly expanded nationwide.

However, in the early Showa era during the war, Ogura Ori was temporarily cut off.

Noriko Tsuiki, a dyeing and weaving artist, met by chance, after trial and error, from a small piece of cloth, it was restored in 1984 and revived as a modern cloth.

Predyed fabric made of high quality cotton yarn.

Compared to other cotton products, fine cotton yarn is about three times more often used for warp.

So it's thick and durable.

Moreover, the fabric has a luster, giving it a very smooth texture.

It is high density, and if it is a small amount of water, it will burst on the surface of the dough.

The weft is not visible due to the high warp color, which is the expression of the stripe.

Also, if you use it for many years, it will have a texture like tanned leather.

"In this event, we focus on our own brand products called" stripes "in Ogura Ori. "

Noriko Tsukijo ...

Dyeing and weaving family, presided over Yuyu dyeing and weaving workshop in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Member of the Japan Kogei Association.

Born in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1952.

Mr. Tsukijo, who was not graduated from art college or was born in a craft business house, felt attractive in Noh costumes, met Kokura Ori's edge while learning weaving, and wanted to regenerate this. It is.

Ogura Ori, which had been cut off in production, has been restored, plant dyeing, and Ogura Ori's work has been announced by hand.

"Striped stripes SHIMA-SHIMA" is responsible for selecting threads and supervising textile design.

It is created with the aim of creating a landing point that links things that can only be done by hand and things that can only be done by machine.

Striped stripes SHIMA-SHIMA...

Noriko Tsukijo supervises the design and takes advantage of the strong and beautiful freshly striped stripes of Ogura Ori 7, and the brand born by machine weaving is "Striped stripes SHIMA-SHIMA".

While becoming wide and inheriting tradition, it has expanded its use in various fields such as fashion and interior as a more modern general-purpose product.

As Ogura Ori in a new era, we are also collaborating with creators not only in Japan but also around the world.

"Stripe's brand has a lot of colorful things."

This is an introduction of Ogura Ori's items that you have been waiting for.

All prices are tax-included.

In addition, one item is included. Please forgive us when it is already sold.

Box mask

The three-dimensional design fits your face, makes it easy to breathe and is perfect for summer.

Kokura Ori has a lot of freshly-made yarn and is woven densely, so it is durable, has a good texture, and is easy to blend, so you can wash and use it repeatedly.

For the box mask and the next cloth mask, the fabric used is the same as a handkerchief, etc., not a mask fabric.

Mask carefully made at sewing factories in Japan.

The string is a flat type with a width of 6mm.

It is gentle on the ears and can be adjusted in length.
