Inside the main building

From Chuo-dori, enter the front entrance of the main building, there are Italian marble pillars in the hall on the first and second floors, and chandeliers are displayed under the coffered ceiling.

The current chandelier is a sophisticated Japanese-style design with a box-shaped design by Togo Murano, who was the second generation and renovated.

The elevators that are operated manually (units 1 to 6) are elevators operated by Auchis in the United States, and still use baskets from the time of opening in 1933 while renovating and replacing machines.

Also, the wall around the elevator looks like a wood grain at first glance, but it is marble.

The Dali stone wall on the stairs from the 2nd to 3rd floor is the stone wall.

On the 4th floor of the main building, there is the Takashimaya Historical Museum TOKYO, which was held on September 2, 2020.

A special exhibition of "Decorative-Architecture and Rediscovery of Nihonbashi-" is being held on February 21, 2021.

The exhibition focuses on modern and contemporary architecture in the Nihonbashi area, including the Nihonbashi Takashimaya, and focuses on the details and decorations of architecture.
