Ariko Horiuchi Urushi Living Exhibition
~ Nihonbashi Kiya Main Store izutuki~
It is rosemary sea, which covers "gifts and I enjoy myself" progressively.
From September 16th (Wednesday) to October 13th (Tuesday), "Ariko Horiuchi Urushi Living Exhibition" is being held at the attached gallery izutuki, a long-established knife shop Nihonbashi Kiya Main Store.
"Hand mirror (Ogura Oritsuki)" introduced at the previous event, "Kokura Ori Stripe's Iki 2020" (August 18-September 15) was written by Ariko Horiuchi. .
This time, I also took care of Mr. Abe, Kiya Nihonbashi Main Store Co., Ltd.
At the same time, Mr. Morikoshi, who is in charge of izutuki, also guided us.

About Ariko Horiuchi ...
Born in Asahikawa, Hokkaido in 1976
Completed major in Akita Public Arts and Crafts College in 2000
Completed training at Yasuyo Lacquer Technology Research Center in Iwate Prefecture in 2002
2018 studied under woodworker Shinichi Moriguchi
2019 became a disciple of Shinichi Moriguchi
Ariko Horiuchi, a lacquer artist who produces lacquer crafts in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
While using domestic lacquer and wood from Hokkaido, I make works that are close to everyday life.
Mr. Horiuchi has been holding a joint exhibition at Kiya in this izutuki space before.
This is my first solo exhibition.
Even those who come into contact with lacquerware for the first time, please enjoy a work that is relieved somewhere nearby.
