A pigeon in Hatoba Park? ? ? 2
Hello, this is Minato kid.
Previously, "Hatoba Park is a pigeon? ? I wrote an article. (2019.12.2)
It was a "wharf" when Meiji period and Tsukiji foreign settlements were located. But there were too many pigeons, like a "Hatoba"! I told you about it.
And this time, a big scoop photo! Since I was able to take a picture, I will write Part 2 in a hurry.
Please take a look. Hato is sitting in the corner of the park. Minato-ko, indeed, wanted this picture, and was still looking for the opportunity.
In the previous photo, there was a pigeon on the stone steps of the sandbox. The sandbox was barely visible, so Minato kid was content with the picture of crying and crying, but I really want to take pictures of places in the sandbox.…And how much did you wish?…!

I'm hooking you. I'd like to see you.
I can't say anything like this, so I'd like to write a story when it was a wharf.
♪ Tsukiji Gunpow is a town with wharfs
In the Meiji era, with the opening of Tokyo (Tsukiji Gunsho), a shared ship connecting Tokyo and Yokohama was created. Inagawa Maru operated by Yahee Matsuzakaya, a wholesaler in Nihonbashikoamicho, and Kashimaya Kamekichi, 3-chome, Yokohama Benten-dori.
On the other hand, the City of Ed started by American James Hoyte. These two were competing at the top two. At that time, the departure and arrival place was around Eitai Bridge.
From New Year's Day in 1870, the new departure and arrival point, now around Hatoba Park, has become the wharf in Tokyo. Not only the transportation of people, but also various goods came and went.
Everybody of Minato kid‐
From the wharf, I could see the Tsukiji Hotel Building and the Tsukiji Foreign Settlement, which is still full of vacant lots. I wonder if the sea turtles were standing side by side on the coastline.‐
From Tokyo, paper, timber, tea and kelp, tatami mats and tobacco were also transported to Yokohama. On the other hand, from Yokohama, dried sardines, Nanjing rice, Nanjing soybeans, etc. entered Tokyo and then sent to countries.
Although it was a very busy shared ship between Tokyo and Yokohama, the competition between Inagawa Maru and the City of Ed became fierce, and the overdoing caused an explosion in July of the same year. Was. It was just before I left the wharf of Tsukiji.
At this time, the people of Tsukuda Island took out their own ships and desperately rescued them.

In addition, I have read that during the Great Kanto Earthquake of the Taisho era and the emergency, the people of Tsukuda Island went to rescue by boat. Tsukuda Island is amazing! I was impressed with it.‐
Due to such an accident, people were hesitated to use a shared ship.
Under such circumstances, in 1872, trains between Shinagawa and Yokohama and between Shimbashi and Yokohama were opened, gradually shifted to land transportation, and Tsukiji foreign settlements were developed, and the townscape was formed as the exotic atmosphere was formed. It means that the transportation of ships became more lively with luggage centered on luggage.

Oh? If I was staring at it, I wondered if it was cozy, the pigeon raised his waist and began to walk.
Everyone, on a sunny day, please come and see the pigeons in Hatoba Park!
