Tokyo Dumbo

TOKYO BRT October 1 Pre-operation (primary) finally started!

TOKYO BRT, which has great expectations as a public transportation system that supports the development of the region in response to the increase in traffic demand in the coastal area of Tokyo, will finally start pre-operation (primary) from October 1.

BRT stands for Bus Rapid Transit, which means "bus high-speed transportation system". It seems that it is a bus system that combines various technologies to ensure punctuality and increase transportation capacity.

It is also characterized by the fact that it is easy to introduce because there is no need to pull the track.

During pre-operation, some connected vehicles (hybrid vehicles) will be used, mainly fuel ionizing vehicles (single-car vehicles) with excellent environmental performance. In the future, the company plans to introduce consolidated vehicles for all fuel cells.

Fuel cell vehicles are environmentally friendly vehicles that use hydrogen as fuel, which do not emit CO2 or environmentally hazardous substances during driving.

Connected vehicles are vehicles that can be called the symbol of Tokyo BRT, with the transportation capacity of approximately 1.5 times that of conventional buses.

It seems that this connected vehicle is an ERGA DUO made by Isuzu Motors Automobile. About 30 years ago, I remembered that Tokyo Dumbo took a connecting bus made by VOLVO-Fuji Heavy Industries from TCAT in Hakozaki to Narita Airport.

Pre-operation (primary) route

Pre-operation (primary) route TOKYO BRT October 1 Pre-operation (primary) finally started!

Pre-operation is a pre-operation that is implemented in stages before the opening of the Route 2 Main Line Tunnel in order to promptly respond to traffic demand in the coastal area, and starts with the following four stops.

◯Harumi BRT Terminal

◯Kachidoki BRT

◯Shimbashi

◯Toranomon Hills

The continuous bus runs once an hour, but only one flight in the early morning to Toranomon Hills, and the other to Shimbashi.

That means that you can get on a continuous bus almost in Chuo-ku!

This symbol mark represents the following.

"Tokyo BRT plays a role in creating new route value by connecting the two areas of the city center and the coastal area. As a symbol, BRT connects two points representing both regions, forming the symbol "B".

The color scheme in which the rainbow color changes warmly is a surprise and new experience for users, a lively area, and a new change. "
