There are many places to see. Echizenbori Children's Park
Echizenbori Children's Park is located in Shinkawa, Chuo-ku, opposite the elementary school across the road.
Remnants of Echizen moat
In the current area of Shinkawa 1 and 2-chome, Chuo-ku, there was a site of Matsudaira Echizen Mamoru, and three sides were surrounded by moats.
This is called Echizen moat, and in the past there was a time when it was used for street names.
Since the Meiji era, it has been gradually reclaimed, and now the moat itself has disappeared, but a part of the stone wall is displayed in this park.
Monument of Tokyo City
There is a stone monument that was set up at the time of opening this park, or marked "Echizenbori Park, Tokyo City, May 1930".
It is the round part at the bottom, but the letters are almost disappearing.
Until 1993, Echizen moat had some remaining, but with the bridge of Chuo-ohashi Bridge, it became a part of Yaesu Street and completely disappeared.
Monument of Reigishi Island
In addition, there is a monument of Reigishi Island, and an explanatory version showing the origin of the place name is also installed.
