♪ The sound of the bell of Civilization and enlightenment Akashicho

Meiji period, now Akashicho was a foreign settlement. There were many churches and mission schools, and there was an exotic atmosphere. The Tsukiji Catholic Church, which retains its remnants, is the oldest church in Tokyo, and the bronze bell given by France in 1876 (1876) is nicknamed Jeanne Louise in Edo.

♪ Ask a lost child at Ichiishibashi and stone signpost

Now, only one main pillar remains is a reinforced concrete arch bridge that was replaced in 1922 (1922), which has been popular for a long time without collapse in the Great Kanto Earthquake. The "Lost Shirase Stone Mark" at the base of such Ichiishibashi was built by people of Nishikawagishicho during the Edo period. It was said that getting lost in Edo city was a parting of parents and children, and it was very difficult to find it.

♪ Kamo Noh Ningyosui Shrine on the fish shore

Tsukiji Market, which moved to Toyosu, was a fish market that stood in Nihonbashi a long time ago. Magoemon Mori on Tsukuda Island, who presented white fish to Ieyasu Tokugawa, sold the surplus fish there. The water shrine is located in guardian angel on the shore of the fish, and at the Sanno Festival, a Kamo nojin Katachiyama car was pulled. Standing on the floats is the enshrined deity of Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto, "Betsuraijin."

♪ It is the Kiyosu Bridge that forms the Eitai Bridge pair.

Eitai Bridge and Kiyosu Bridge are both earthquake reconstruction bridges, which were replaced after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. In 2007 (2007), it became a nationally designated important cultural property. The elegant Kiyosu Bridge, modeled on the Eitai Bridge, a solid and robust steel arch bridge, and the suspension bridge, which spans the Cologne River in Germany, are compared to a pair from its appearance.

♪ Large Kanonji Historical Buddha Flower Festival

Every April, a flower festival is held at Daikanonji Temple in Ningyocho. This is a Buddhist event celebrating Historical Buddha's birthday, and visitors will be served with amazake and famous confectionery in Ningyocho. The Historical Buddha of Daikanonji Temple is an iron bodhisattva with only the head, and was dug out in the iron well of Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine in the Kamakura period. It is as high as 170cm.
