Underground concourse from Mitsukoshi-mae Station on the Ginza Line to Mitsukoshi.

The construction of the subway starting from Asakusa Kaminarimon toward Kyobashi was completed in 1932 (1932) near Nihonbashi.

The building was completed, and on April 29, the same year, Mitsukoshi-mae Station opened.  There is a passage connecting the subway station and the Mitsukoshi Underground Sales Office.

Marble walls, cylinders, show windows, showcases, etc. were used.

Most of the construction costs for stations and passages were borne by Mitsukoshi, so it became the station name of "Mitsukoshi-mae".

This is the first time in Japan that one company name has become a railway station name.
