This year, "Hakuzuru Nishiki", which was planted on June 10, grew and the harvest time was reached.

Rosemari has been introducing rice planting and rice harvesting here since rice harvesting in 2017.

Every year, we invite applicants and international students who have applied for rice planting and rice harvesting.

This year, from the perspective of preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection, all employees of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery will be done by themselves.

On October 21, we heard that this year's long-awaited rice harvesting was carried out as scheduled thanks to the weather.

I'm having a Miss Sake again this year.

We were blessed with rice harvesting and the weather.

(Rice harvesting was completed successfully.

 

ーWhen you look at the rice fields after being cut, it's muddy since last year.

It's usually dry (the ground) and it's normal to enter, but it's raining a lot this year.

It fell quite a bit last weekend, didn't it?

Do you think the yield is likely to be higher than usual?

I don't know this only unless I thresh it, but it's a little less than last year.

The weather was bad, wasn't it?

 

Even so, it doesn't mean that it's extremely low than last year.

I think so.

In June and July, the rainy season was a bit long, this year.

Saying "separating period", when the stems increased, the weather was bad at that time, so there may have been quite a lot of places where there was little separation.

Do you say that the stock was not swelling, or (rice) it felt thin, so I was worried about it, but the fact that the well-bearing fruit itself seems to be quite heavy, so this year the quality is rather than quantity Isn't it good?

I don't know yet, but this is the only one.

 

What will you do in the future?

As for the future schedule, we will dry it in the sun for about a week after all the mowing is over.

So next week, about the end of the month, threshing.

Here (on the roof) I will do everything manually using a stepping threshing machine.

Once the rice paddy (fir) is sent to Kobe, and the rice is ripped over there.

This is a grade test with the brown rice, which will have you send back the brown rice and rice grains.

That's November nineteenth.

This year's schedule is quite tight, so we have to thresh a little earlier.

If the rain continues, it will not dry, so I'm worried about that area.

In Tokyo, the only inspection day is that day. The production volume is low, Tokyo.

Do you know the grade on the day of the inspection?

Yes, I'm told right away.

 

But it's still the best until last year.

Oh, that's right. I don't know, this year (laughs).

In the case of rice here, there was nothing more than that.

That's right. Well, on the roof, it is raised here, so it is not a farm, so Shiratsuru Nishiki is also rice from Hyogo Prefecture.
