Today, in Akashicho, Tsukiji foreign settlements have been set up since 1868 (1868). Unlike Yokohama, which developed as a port opening, Tsukiji Foreign Residents' Settlement gradually gathered missionaries, many churches and mission schools were born, and the cultural colors were deepened. What conveys this impression is the Tsukiji Catholic Church, which continues to be built in a majestic manner, and the remain of gas lamps and brick walls.
