The Rabbit of Tsukuda

Autumn Ishikawajima Park Bird Walk

It is a rabbit of Tsukuda that observes fixed points of wild birds at the Chuo-ohashi Bridge over the mouth of the Sumida River and Ishikawajima Park, which is maintained near Aioi Bridge.

The first thing I met today was common kingfisher! That's right. With the appearance of common kingfisher for the first time in three years, tension rises at once.

common kingfisher is an image of living in the clear streams of the mountains, but in recent years it has been living robustly by feeding crucian carp that also lives in sewage.

There is a nest in the "Kiba Millennium Forest" in Koto-ku, and it is rarely observed on the Koto-ku side on the opposite bank, but it may have flew from there. They seemed to have stopped on the branches of the floating island and caught food.

The next thing I met was black-tailed gull, who stopped on the high lights. Oh? Next to it, it's a squirrel!

There is only one winter bird, Urassian Continent, but it came for the first time in six months from the northern part of Eurasian Continent.

By the way, black-tailed gull's legs are yellow and the Japanese plums are red. Use it as a reference when you identify it.

In addition, beside the squirrel and little egret. Ishikawajima Park is not an unusual bird because of low tide and river surface differences, so it is easy to catch food.

However, in catching food, they fight with giggy, so it makes me happy to see them together.

There is a difference in size, but the observation point is that the rabbit is black to the toes and the toes in little egret is yellow.

In addition, a couple of Hakusekirei flew around comfortably in the open space where the people of the Chuo-ku Water and Green Division had finished mowing early in the morning.

At Ishikawajima Park, where winter birds are coming, on October 24, we observed two female northern pintail birds.

At the same time last year, the starter was female. Is there any reason? I want to look forward to the flock of males coming with flashy wings to make a couple.

Everyone, please come to Ishikawajima Park Bird Walk.
