Until November 11 (Wednesday), a small exhibition "Nostalgic Scenery-Tsukuda's Passover-" is being held at Tsukishima Library as an event of the "13th Chuo-ku Whole Museum 2020".

At the invitation of Ieyasu Tokugawa, a fisherman from Tsukuda-mura, Nishinari-gun, Settsu-kuni (currently Tsukuda, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka-shi), who descended to Edo, reclaimed the tidal flats in the east of the gunshot in 1644 (Shohomoto). I moved to Tsukuda Island, and the next 1645 (Shoho 2). In the Meiji era, it was operated as a paid ferry by an individual, but it was transferred to Tokyo City in 1926 (Daisho 15), and the ferry was free in 1927 (Showa 2), and it became a steam boat from a rowing boat . On August 27, 1964 (Showa 39), the last ferry was completed at the same time as the opening ceremony of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, ending the history that lasted for more than 300 years.
