Cross the Tsukishima River and see the two towers

The Tsukishima River Suimon was completed in 1964. The Tsukishima River, which flows between Tsukishima and Kachidoki, is located at the point where it joins the Sumida River. It is usually open for ships to pass, but is closed as seawalls in case of storm surges or tsunamis.

As already introduced on the Chuo-ku Tourism Association correspondent blog, the construction of the bridge next to the sluice gate connecting the Sumida River Terrace was completed in September 2020, and you can cross the Tsukishima River without detouring to Nishinaka Bridge. Was.

Sumida River Terrace is one of my favorite running courses. One evening, after passing through the bridge next to the Tsukishima River Suimon, looking at the Tokyo Sky Tree ahead and running a little toward Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, I saw the lit up Tokyo Tower.

The tower is on the left and the tree is on the right (at the middle point between Kachidokibashi and Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge).

The tower to the left and the tree to the right (in the middle of Kachidokibashi and Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge) cross the Tsukishima River and see the two towers.

Turning to the left toward the Sumida River, Tokyo Tower and Kachidokibashi.

Looking to the right toward the Sumida River, Tokyo Sky Tree and Chuo-ohashi Bridge & Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge.

In the middle of running, it will be routine to take a short rest in this place.
