♪ Ryogoku Bridge in Minami Takahashi Meiji period

Minami Takahashi, which was built as an earthquake reconstruction bridge in 1932 (1932), is actually part of the old Ryogoku Bridge. It is a triple truss bridge built over the Sumida River in 1904 (1904). Thus, it is very valuable that the Meiji period steel bridge still remains, and was first designated by the inhabitants of the ward Tangible Cultural Property. The writer Kafu Nagai loves the landing wharf seen from Minami Takahashi, the passenger ship bound for Oshima, and the scenery unique to Minatomachi at that time, and describes it in "Shokutei Daily Life".

♪ Speaking of Ginzo in Muromachi, Edomae tempura

During the Yasunaga period (1772-1781), a tempura stall appeared in the town of Edo for the first time. Tempura, which is fried with clothes on a skewered fish in front of Edo, is very popular with Edo kids who want to eat delicious food quickly. In 1786 (1786), a tempura stall appears in the illustration of "Edo Haruichiya Senryo" written by Kyoden Santo. Among them, Ginzo, who has a store in Muromachi, made the food outlets go.

♪ A big battery eel

In the "Edo Famous Hyakunin Isshu" published during the Kyoho period (1716-1736), you can see the letters on the signboard with the word "Meibutsu Daikayaki" in front of Fukagawa Hachimangu Gate. Eel kabayaki in front of Edo was very popular with Edo kids. Over time, eel bowl (eel rice) is finally invented. The driving force was Imasuke Okubo, the gold lord of Edo Kabuki Nakamuraza. During the performance, when I put the eel kabayaki into rice and delivered it, I found that the sauce was soaked in the rice and it was warm and delicious.

♪ Monjayaki Tsukishima's specialty Nishinaka-dori

Nishinaka-dori on Tsukishima is a shopping street full of Monjaya shops, also known as Monja Street. Monja has a long history, dating back to the time when Tsukishima was still a factory town. It was around 1892 (1892), when the first landfill was built. It was the beginning that a nearby candy store thought so that children who returned from school could eat while playing. I ate the flour dissolved in water and baked it on an iron plate like writing letters. It seems that what was called "character grilling" has become "monja".
