       I'm going around.

The town of Edo is very amazing.

   Everybody is looking for something.

   And use all of them.

A panel exhibition "Thinking about the future of Nihonbashi from a recycling-oriented society in Edo" is being held at the large roof plaza on the Nihonbashi Cored Muromachi Terrace. As part of the "Nihonbashi Goururi Exhibition", the panels are also placed round as seen around.

The kimono worn by the common people of Edo was cotton. Spun cotton harvested in the field to make cloths, use all cloths to kimonos, use kimonos to rags when kimonos are damaged, and burn ash is scattered in the field to grow cotton. I'm turning around.

This is the staple rice. Thresh the rice harvested in the field and burn the rice husks to fertilizer in the field, use bran for pickles, straw for shades, minos, and sandals. I'm turning around.

On the streets of Nihonbashi, there are various craftsmen who rent kimonos and books, fix broken items such as bowls, snow clogs, and tubs, and collect and reuse garbage such as paper and wood chips, and discard them.

The underground street of Mitsukoshi department store, wooden store, rental bookstore, scrap sales, etc. were also depicted in the repair shop.

Let's connect to the future.

I often see the word "SDGs" (SDGs). At the 2015 Summit, a common goal of the international community was set, poverty was eliminated, hunger was zero, and health and welfare for everyone was started, and 17 sustainable development goals were mentioned. . The twelfth mark of "Responsibility to Create and Use" is just a form reminiscent of "Nihonbashi Goururi". In order to eliminate food loss, etc., I thought about the future and used it up, and when I looked at the panels, I was doing it during the Edo period. There seems to be a lot of things that we can do alone in our daily lives, not just in the government and companies.
