Kiyosu Bridge. The water surface is the Sumida River, where the Onagi River joins. This bridge was planned as a reconstruction project for the Great Kanto Earthquake, and at that time a self-anchored suspension bridge was adopted based on the Hindenburg Bridge in Cologne, Germany, which was the most beautiful bridge in the world.
The name of "Kiyosubashi" took one character of Nakasucho, Nihonbashi-ku, Nishizume at that time, and Kiyozumi-cho, Fukagawa-ku, Higashizume.
Construction started in March 1925 (1925) and completed in March 1928 (1928), and was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 2007. .
Kiyosu Bridge is the most beautiful angle to be seen from the northern end of the Mannen Bridge, which is the closest to the Sumida River on the Onagi River, and is called the "view of Cologne".
