The Nihonbashi area, historic redevelopment is underway at the same time.
Nihonbashi Blue Sky is finally starting! This is a commentary with a drawing of the expected completion.
Large-scale redevelopment has begun one after another, centering on Nihonbashi, as if we were waiting for the end of the construction rush for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games 2020 Games. The heat is like a period of high growth, and the wind blowing in the corona disaster. The energy for the future is erupting.
On the left hand, you can see two cranes on the rooftop, KABUTO ONE (89m high on the 15th floor), which is under construction in Kabuto-cho. On the right, a little far away, a white building at the same height is the office building of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The Yanmar Tokyo Building (240m on the 45th floor) is under construction between KABUTO ONE and the Tokyo Stock Exchange. To the right, you can see the Tokiwa Bridge Tower A building under construction (205m on the 42nd floor) behind the Nihonbashi Dia Building. At the right end, Mitsui Tower (193M), which has an overwhelming presence in Muromachi, is also impressive.
Tokiwa Bridge Tower A building is steadily stretching its back, but after this, it is surprising monster, Torch Tower B. The nickname is Big Tokiwa. In addition to its good shape, the height is 390m. Now, the tallest commercial building in Japan, Abeno Harukas (300m) in Osaka City is far away.
※The photo shows the signboard of the construction site.
I wrote a bird's-eye view from the Suitengu side (the building leaned a little).
Six large-scale redevelopment projects in front of you: Tokiwa Bridge Redevelopment, Nihonbashi 1-chome Redevelopment, Yaesu 1-chome East Area Redevelopment, Yaesu 1-chome North Area Redevelopment, Yaesu 2-chome Redevelopment, and Nihonbashi Overroad Expressway Underground
"Nihonbashi 1-chome Redevelopment" right next to Edo Nihonbashi.
27 buildings including Nomura Securities Nihonbashi Head Office Building and Futon Nishikawa are integrated and developed.
In the bird's-eye view, look at the rounded Nihonbashi Diamond Building on the right side. The lower part of this building, which faces the Nihonbashi River, just next to Edobashi, surrounds the building with a sharp curve (red bold line). Nihonbashi is the center of Japan, about 50 meters behind this curved road. This is a project to integrate and develop 27 buildings, approximately 150 meters along the river from the south end of the bridge. The main building is scheduled to be 284m on the 52nd floor (by the way, Tokyo Noppo Building No.1 is 256m at Toranomon Hills).
Founded in 405, Nihonbashi Nishikawa, Western restaurant Taimeiken, Edobashi Building, Miyuki Building, and Nomura Securities Nihonbashi Head Office Building (1946, completed in 1930). Design Takeo Yasui. Selected as a modern movement architecture in Japan) is also within the redevelopment area. Of the three Nomura Securities buildings, the appearance of the old building is preserved as it is, and it seems that it will be a facility that can be close to the waterside. Now that the closed Taimeiken Nihonbashi store is moving in, I would like to eat omelet at the waterside once realized.
Yaesu is being redeveloped in 1-chome and 2-chome divided into Higashi-ku, Kita-ku and Naka-ku.
In front of Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit, Yaesu 1-chome, the redevelopment of the east area is being divided into ward A and ward B. In addition, 73 buildings will be integrated and developed, and the main building will be 250m on the 51st floor. The buildings to be built from now on are getting higher and higher. By the way, the second tallest building in Tokyo now is 248.1m in Tokyo Midtown, so the first to third places in Tokyo's Noppo Building will be monopolized in the Nihonbashi area (that is why?)
From here, the redevelopment of the Yaesu 1-chome east area hides in the existing building and seems to be able to see only the head, but construction is underway in front of the Daimaru Department Store at Yaesu Exit. In addition, redevelopment of the Yaesu 1-chome north area has been decided (235m on the 45th floor). I can't see this because it's behind Big Tokiwa. In addition, the redevelopment of Yaesu 2-chome is being divided into Naka Ward and Kita Ward. I don't know what's going on anymore.
If any large-scale development progresses in such a close proximity, it is inevitable that it will be confused.
"Py, Pi, Py. Oh, why are you taking your luggage here? Show me the carry-in slip,"
"Yes, this is the first redevelopment site.
But your site is Nihonbashi 1-chome, which is Yaesu 1-chome.
"Py, Pi, Py.
Are you home again? This is the site of Yaesu 1-chome, but it's the north district. You're in the eastern district. "Higa-shi,"
"Py, Pi, Py.
Oh, I finally came here, Yaesu 1-chome Higashi-ku. But this is ward B in the eastern district, and what you want to go to is ward A. I have to look at the carry-in slips."
"Uuuuuuuu..., the job I finally got....」
The driver is hard.
It is hard to say to him, but the redevelopment of the Yaesu 2-chome north area right next to the left is also progressing (240m on the 46th floor). Be careful because it is divided into Kita-ku and Naka-ku.
And what we are waiting for is "Reclaim the blue sky from Nihonbashi" by the country and the capital.
This is an underground highway project.
This is the next issue.
