The sun in the heart and the water in the bath (Part 2)
Just a year ago (February 2020), I wrote an article about where the water we drink in Chuo-ku comes from. It was at the beginning of the COVID-19 turmoil......
The area west of the Sumida River in Chuo-ku is mainly supplied from the Asaka Water Purification Plant, which draws water from Arakawa. Last year, I visited the Asaka Water Purification Plant. Arakawa also has a lot of water from the Tone River through the Musashi Channel.
In Chuo-ku, the area east of the Sumida River is mainly supplied from Kanamachijosuijo, which draws water from the Edo River. I've been here this time. Kanamachijosuijo is the second largest water purification plant in Tokyo, with a processing capacity of 1.5 million cubic meters / day, accounting for 1/5 of the total processing capacity of the Tokyo Waterworks Bureau. Located between Shibamata Station and Kanamachi Station on the Keisei Kanamachi Line, the site is extremely vast and the fence continues endlessly. The address is also one town like "Kanamachi Water Purification Plant 1 in Katsushika-ku".
Through water, Chuo-ku is connected to various parts of the Kanto region. Let's use the water carefully.
