Gardenia and summer pilgrimage in the garden
In the garden of the Tokugawa Shogun's family, which also served as the castle's departure function, white double flowers bloomed and had an aroma.
Since ancient times, gardenia is said to have four virtues. This is "pure white flowers, pure fragrance, lush leaves even in winter, orange ripe fruit".
Mature fruits have long been used as a raw material for Chinese herbal medicine. In the Edo period, rice cooked with water containing the yellow pigment was crushed and immersed in water, which became an event food on New Year's Eve and festival.
Former Inao Shrine sits in the garden.
From Hamarikyu, Kachidoki on the opposite bank of the Sumida River, and on the other side the Harumi area spreads out.
I would like to take care of this milestone as the beginning of the next six months.
