At the same time, Mr. Morikoshi, who is in charge of izutuki, also guided us.

『』 The inside is Mr. Morikoshi's comment.

Then, from the introduction of Kuniharu, Tokyo Uchihamono, Kuniharu Knife Craftsman, ...

The second generation Kuniharu
Iwao Kawasumi (Iwao Kawasumi)
Tokyo Traditional Craftsman
Tokyo Meister
Received the Medal with Yellow Ribbon

Born in Adachi-ku, 1932 (Showa 7).

He has been making scissors for more than 65 years at Tokyo Uchiha Kimono and Kuniharu Knife Craftsman.

Under his father, Kuniharu (1974, received the Order of the Order of the Order of the Sixth Order), he cultivated techniques for making flower arrangements, bonsai, and horticultural scissors, and succeeded the name of "Kuniharu".

Flower arrangement scissors are famous as the highest rank in Japan, and the completed scissors have a beauty that is unacceptable by other craftsmen.

He said that his business with Kiya continued from the time of the first Kuniharu, and he had gone to Kiya to pay scissors when he was a student before the second generation Kuniharu started making scissors.

He is a scissors who are deeply connected to the history of Kiya.

"I mainly make flower cutting scissors, and in the flower arrangement, students use the tools used by the teacher as they are, so it seems that the shape is slightly changed depending on the school. ]

"I've been planning this project about a year ago, but during that time I was awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon. ]

"There are few things that can be sold in this exhibition, and 60 to 70% are not for sale. ]

Tokyo knives (Tokyouchi)

Since the promulgation of the abandoned swords in Meiji period, blacksmiths began to use the technique of making Japanese swords to make blades used in daily life.

One of them is "cutting scissors".

While Edo knives craftsmen make fleas and planes, Tokyo knives are mainly made of scissors, and are still being manufactured today.

Kuniharu Knife Craftsman, Ltd.

It is a long-established store with a history of 100 years, loved by flower arrangement artists all over the country for ikebana scissors.

He succeeded his predecessor father, who built medical shears and forceps, and later laid the foundation of Kuniharu Knipples with ikebana scissors.

It produces scissors that are loved by flower artists and are also used in the world such as bonsai and plants.

The product is praised in the professional world as "the sound of cutting is different" and "the cutting edge is the fingertips".

・・'- I've been waiting for you.

All prices are tax-included.

Gold plated Ikenobo

I'm Ikenobo, the second generation Kuniharusaku.

The form of gold is excellent, isn't it?

Ikenobo (paulownia box)

It is a black dyeing pond with a case and paulownia box.

Kuniharu scissors' kashime heart sticks are round on one side and the other is square.

It is attached slightly higher, and the protruding part is hit and put in.

At that time, a beautiful hammer is born naturally.

"I think it takes a lot of effort to make the price seem cheap."

Spring type Okubo (paulownia box)

Okubo scissors are traditional scissors that are originally widely used, from garden planting and bonsai care to gardening.

This item is an old style in which the tip of the handle plays the role of a spring.

The scissors work is carried out by natural bounces.

Comes with a special paulownia box.

Some people use "Okubo" in bonsai, but it's very similar to the old style.

Since the tip is a little thinner, it feels like when you want to cut the intricate part like using the tip, or between planting scissors and flower scissors. ]

Ikenobo is finished with black dyeing that carefully selects good steel materials.

Only the blade part is plated, so the sharpness does not change due to differences in plating (chrome, black dyeing, etc.).

In addition, this exhibition had a lot of black dyeing, but "half polishing" that was polished to the side of the screw is also exhibited.

This is also carefully selected from good steel materials. It is an old chrome plate finish.

There is a slight gap between the tip of the bent handle and the main body, so your hand won't get tired even if you use it for a long time.

And it has a solid appearance with the beauty of appearance as a tool and a sophisticated shape.

Incorporating new techniques into traditional techniques, it is a scissors that are easy to fit into hands, cut, and have good tone.

Take a look at the beauty of the iron skin that comes out by daring to rust iron and dropping its rust.

Do you know that there is a difference in color and there is a rough feeling? It's subtle to say. I don't think it's clear in the image.

Please come to Kiya-san and actually see it.

"The overall highlight of this person is that they are all round to make it easier to grip.

The last part (of the handle) has a little gap, so it is designed to escape the impact and not tired even when working.

The blade alignment is also done by hand.

"Because it is made according to the user, the thread part is also cut and hit after leaving the length. ]

Okubo (planting scissors) with black-dyed finish.

It has a sharp blade and is suitable for cutting thin branches.

Craftsman Kuniharu hits the finish with a zinc hammer to adjust the finish.

Zinc is a soft metal, so if you use it for a long time, it will be crushed like clay.

There is a sense of discomfort in the shape of the so-called "handle" that is "wago preparation".

A scissors with a handle floating on the left and right, making it easy to grasp on the desk.

It can also be used for bonsai and paper.

It is created with the assumption that you want to use immediately.

"It seems to be the best thing for a craftsman.

I hit it and bend it gradually, but it seems that it will take a considerable amount of time to work such as rounding and opening gaps.

Kuniharu is currently 88 years old, but he has been active in Adachi-ku and seems to have no successor anymore. ]

I thought it was difficult to understand the handle in this image ...

I tried to shoot with different angles.

The handle is floating like this.

These scissors are made long and narrow for detailed work.

"The tip is smaller, and it looks like it's suitable for fine work.

Because the handle is long, I think it's easy to cut in the back.'

This is a steel maiden scissors made by attaching a blade to the ground gold.

・・・ In addition to Ikenobo and the old-fashioned flower arrangement school, there is also an exhibition of Sogetsu-style scissors (not for sale).

"It's hard to understand because Sogetsu uses almost the shape of Ikenobo.

However, Ikenobo rounds the "Akebi roll" at the bottom of the handle, but Sogetsu seems to be flattening and hitting the flower stems with the use of the school. ]

In addition, exhibits such as bonsai sets (this is also not for sale) are also very valuable materials for learning about the culture of scissors.

Please come to Kiya-san and experience the wonderfulness of "scissors".
