According to our legendary Inari Morizuka inscription, in the latter half of the 9th century, the area was called Fukutoku Village, where Inari God, who controls grain and food, was enshrined in sacred shrine forest.

Inari in Fukutoku-mura has been revered by military commanders such as Yoshiie Minamotono and Michio Ota since ancient times, and has a deep connection with Doi, who built the first Edo Castle, and his divine spirit is enshrined in our company.

Ieyasu Tokugawa visited the company immediately after entering Edo in Tensho 18 (1590), and the second shogun Hidetada also visited Keicho 19 (1614) and praised "Fukutoku is a happy god." From the torii gate (Kuroki) with the skin of the torii sprout of Fukutoku Inari at the time.

Hidetada enshrines Benzaiten in Edo Castle, and has declared the company's site to be 330 tsubo.

After that, the precincts were almost lost due to the development of the town of Edo, repeated fires and the circumstances of shrines, etc., and at one time was in danger of disappearing.

Nevertheless, shrine parishioner volunteered to inherit the religious service of Fukutoku Shrine, and in the fall of 2014, shrine hall, a precinct reminiscent of the past appearance, was revived thanks to the efforts of the people of the Nihonbashi area.

The road in front of this one is like "Ukiyokoji".

It seems that a famous restaurant of the Edo period called "Momokawa" was here.

It is also a story of rakugo.

※ For information on "Ukiyo Koji" and "Rakugo Hyakukawa", please see the article "Shrine Viewing Shrine from Ningyocho Station" 19 on August 25, 2020.

This time, we will introduce "Ukiyodoko" with the Ukiyo connection of "Ukiyokoji".

<Preliminary confirmation corner>

The sword of one shaku and eight inches ...

1 shaku is about 30cm, 1 inch is about 3cm.

So I guess it's about 54cm.

It's short as a sword.

Tatami workers ...

Step on the floor (tatami) to finish.

The hair bed (Kamiyui-do) is crowded with young people.

Meanwhile, some people are reading books quietly.

In the battle of the Ane River, he was asked to read aloud by Heihachiro Honda and Jurozaemon Magara, but ...

He says "water" on the stand, but just over again.

"Eh, from my sin, to the shifuroza, to the enemy, or to get away."

"Would you like to bring your gold?"

"Let's get a one-shaku and eight-inch sword (Odachi) toward the enemy (direct)."

"Did you call me now?"

"One shaku and eight inches long swords face up,"

"Is it short?"

"That's a width,"

"Well, you can't see the front?"

"There are windows open here and there."

・・It's like this.

In one corner, it refers to shogi.

However, in both cases, there is no "king general" on the board.

For one of them escaped from the king's wheel.

The other has been in his pocket since the beginning. ・It's a funny shogi.

Some people are sleeping.

When I woke up, I was growing older and drinking in my dream.

I am angry that I will wake you up soon.

The master of the barber shop, "I was quiet and returned without paying money while I was cared, thin ..."

"That's the artisan of the tatami shop,"

"I came to step down the floor by reason."
